Are you an academic type person, and do you like hiking and climbing mountains?
Try these scholarly peaks: Mt. Columbia, Mt. Princeton, Mt. Oxford, Mt. Yale and Mt. Harvard. These are known as the Collegiate Peaks and they’re found in the wilderness with the highest average elevation in the United States, the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness.
If you teach religion or theology, especially New Testament, you might be interested in hiking the Three Apostles in the same area.

If you answered yes to my question at the start of this post, then you might know where these peaks and this wilderness area are found. And again, you might not. I’m a scholarly sort, a university teacher, and I have just been made aware of these Ivy League mountains (well, Ivy League except for Oxford).
Well, enough of mystery and teasing. These high-class peaks, in name and elevation anyway, are found in the Sawatch Range in the Colorado Rockies. The closest city is Colorado Springs.
One more thing, they’re all fourteeners (over 14,000 feet in elevation).
